So, I hear from another writer that our literary agent has "given up the business". So I do a search on her name and find out it's true.
This was the person who was going to help me make my dreams come true. Now I have to start from scratch again, and to make things worse my agent-judgement apparently sucks.
*sigh* someone say something comforting about suffering for art or something like that ...
1. I wish I was a talented artist such as yourself

I tried to become a writer, but failed miserably in my college English classes. For one thing I'm a very slow reader and writer. For another I've only had one original idea my whole life as far as writing goes. And for a third thing I have no command of the English language. So I drive trucks for a living.
Good luck in finding a new agent. I'm sure you will be successful. And here's to you becoming famous and selling millions of books.
2. This is a sure sign that a better agent awaits you
One more in tune with your needs. There is nothing shameful about being in the slush pile. It should give you courage to make as many submissions as you can research and afford. You will do better. Best wishes to you.
