6. I live in an apartment...
so I pretty much 'live' in mine except when cooking, sleeping or having long, hot showers.

I have a couch in mine (and a loveseat) but I grew up with a chesterfield.

11. Right now it has a stove still in the box in it
with some scrap vinyl on the floor. But soon it will have a couch, recliner, entertainment center, coffee table and an end table. I'm just beginning to move in and I have to buy everything as well as making some repairs. The repairs are needed because the house was a bank repo and the previous owners kind of let it go.

30. I too have a futon and a papasan chair.
Also, a flokati rug, a cheap Target bookcase, many many piles of books that don't fit in the bookcase, a table I stained myself, tv stand and tv. And very little walking room.

17. Dick Cheney
is in my living room. Sittin' on the sofa in a wife-beater T-shirt yelling at the TV (says he doesn't get Aqua Teen Hunger Force). Says he's staying here since his secret bunker got outed. Lazy bum hasn't done a single chore around the house all day and he ate the last two pieces of fried chicken in the fridge. The Rethug convention can't come soon enough.

21. Bunch of houseplants
an old chair with amateur upholstery recover job in a brown with cowboys -retro fabric, strange mesquite-log end table with printer on it, antique standing lamp, old wooden "kitchen" table with computer, monitor and keyboard on it, another strange old coffee table with scanner and huge piles of papers, and junk on it some miscellaneous chairs including and old "barrel" chair from some dark steak house type of restaurant in dark wood with deep maroon naugahyde and nailhead trim, a pachinko machine, a stack of two double size box springs and one mattress, a cool old black saddle with metal ("silver" trim) (think old horsey ride in front of the grocery store circa 1965) a barstool modified into a parrot stand with a blue and gold Macaw sleeping, a dresser with a lamp (and more piles of junk), 2 speakers and a bookshelf my grandfather built. Two arial photos of the area, an old photo of a dance hall on a bick rock, a Tarahumara drum and fiddle, a couple of basketry items, too much mostly Mata Ortiz pottery and a wonderful mostly red rug from Turkey. All shelving is filled with stuff: papers, travel mementos, tools - JUNK.

Hey that was kind of fun. Is this cybercasing? Looking for expensive entertainment centers? ;-) heh heh

I grew up in Iowa, but not near Davenport. Neither did my grandma, so I have no idea where that term came from.

28. It was a trick question...
A couch, sofa, chesterfield and davenport are all the same thing. It was kind of a pop vs soda question with furniture.

Chesterfield is an English term that was commonly used in Canada when I was young, but not so much anymore.

35. I live in a studio apartment
I have a huge couch, huge love-seat, 3 rocker recliner chairs that have foot stools with them and two of the chairs are occupied by my cats, a satellite dish that sits in front of my window, huge bookcase that runs along one side of the wall, 32 inch TV, books, 2 folding chairs that I use at my built in table that connects to my very small kitchen, i have a kitchen cart that sits along my hall wall with cutlery, pots and pans, kitchen-aid mixer, blender, microwave, convection oven on it, my Christmas tree is behind my love-seat in a box and my Christmas decorations are under my couch, a computer table, computer, shopping cart which is considered a city car in my area, 2 paintings that I painted but I refuse to put up, toss pillows, a very large box that i put a sheet over that one of my cats sits on and when you go to move it he meows his head off so you have to leave it in front of the window, a large carpet that is discolored from cat vomit but its clean, a vacuum cleaner that won't fit in my closet, end tables, several lamps and a coffee table.

Oh, I almost forgot "Me".
