good news on my mom also
the cancer has not metasizied. She gets a porta cath today. So all is good. and they enjoyed the baked spagetti I made for them too.

I used to give chemo all the time. Portacaths are great, they minimize damage to the smaller veins in the arms from chemo drugs and repeated sticks.

I will be thinking of her.

It's so good to hear this. I think of you and your mom often, as my mom and I are going through something similar.

We got some good news as well. My mother's PCP relayed to her a message from the oncologist (who she will see on the 17th). The oncologist has reviewed the information send from the PCP, surgeon, and pathologist and has declared that even without a (planned) course of radiation, my mothers 5+ year survival expectancy is over 90%.

He said if there's a good way to get cancer, my mom did it.
