1. I lived in a house that was moved once
we had it moved into the backyard of where I grew up and used it for a rental.

Best deal ever.. but funny to watch.

3. that's funny - I did too
Rented a house that was the original but had been moved to the back of the lot (and turned sideways) as a guest house. Kinda weird living in someone's backyard.

2. I did in 1991.
It was a 2 bedroom 1 bath about 900 square feet and was built in the late 1930's. It was from San Diego to Mexico.

Basically what it will involve is totally dependent on how the structure is built. Ours was elevatee by about 3 feet on cider blocks. It turned out to be relatively easy, the movers were able to punch holes in the blocks and build a steel frame under it that the could then lift and put on the back of a flat bed.

Access is an issue, seasons might be, where you are moving it to might have issues, transportation routes have to be planned (high wires, street widths, etc.)

If you are moving it rather than build a new house, it could save you a bunch.

Feel free to ask follow up questions.
