Have you ever discovered a DU'er ...

that you know in a differrent life? From your past? Someone using a handle here that you didn't know was them only to find by some other means that you do in fact know them?

A few weeks ago a dear old friend popped back into my life. We found out that we had been reading eachothers livejournal posts. Today, bored at work I went surfing thru profiles and I have found any number of people from my past but I have found TWO people from DU that I know and one of them I KNOW. As in, used to work with his wife. Run in the same social circles etc .. etc ...

Ever have a similar experience?

I found my ex wife here. That was funny. She posted about our respective kid in the Lounge so I recognized her.

2. I found someone....

who went to the same high school and graduated the same year! We didn't know each other at the time, but did have some friends in common.

That discovery justified having kept (and moved, many times) my yearbook all these years.

7. I was contacted by a girl ...woman now I suppose

that I went to middle school with. My fear was a trip to Jeerry Springer and a "You were mean to me in middle school show". It worked out OK though.

I have "found" maybe a dozen old friends in the last few months and it's gettin gtireing, not bad, but tireing.

3. I figured out that a fellow DU'er and I had been working together...

...as local grassroots activists for the Kerry campaign.

...on another forum. I think he goes by the name Taverner now. I knew Lars39 on the same forum, but that doesn't count because she actually directed me to DU.
