mini-discman owners check in
I just got a mini-disc player.

I was looking at MP3 players but they just seemed so much more expensive and I kinda like the idea of a small selection of discs (with 4 hours of music on them) of my favorite songs.

Right now I'm listening to my Led Zeppelin mini-disc -32 of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs organized on one disc. I also have my workout MD and my Queen MD. Plus I have the MD carrying case that I can put on my arm while I'm working out.

Any other MD fans?

1. I know a guy who records concerts with one.
He plugs it directly into the sound board and records away.

I like my iPod - I like not having to change discs when I want to hear something new.

2. I love mine
4 hours per disc. Re-record over and over. No skipping. Small. It rocks.

4. Musicians I know love 'em for live recording
The discs also hold data, I'm not sure how many megabytes. I'm thinking of getting one just for portable data storage.

5. That's something I'm trying to figure out
because I really don't have anyway of backing up my data but I would assume I could just use my mini-disc.
