So what can I watch on Network News
I'll be honest, I quit watching network news a long time ago, but I'd like to venture out there again especially with the election looming close upon us.

But I really don't have a clue who I can trust out there on TV. Most the opinions I have about politics are things I've read online (In general I trust what I read in the NYTimes or WashPost) or what I learn from folks here at DU.

So in a nutshell - what journalists and/or their nightly shows are worthy of this liberal viewer?

1. Anderson Cooper on CNN isn't horrible.
His show has a lot of fluff and filler though.

But he covers lighter stuff as well.

4. That "Anderson Cooper 360" thing is just one big vanity project.
I'm still trying to figure out what exactly Anderson Cooper's appeal acutally is, though.

3. Countdown with Keith Olberman on MSNBC at 8:00 pm

He is great.

When I am pissed because none of the other shows are bringing up the important, or funny, or ironic stuff happening in the world or politics - Olberman always does.

5. CBS nightly news is pretty good. Lou Dobbs on CNN (5 central) is great.

6. Of the ACTUAL networks I would suggest ABC
NBC (GE) carries W's water more than any other.

CBS-well I rarely watch it on Sundays. It is probably the most liberal but I have gotten used to ABC. I wouldn't start watching this week though Jennings is off and it is markedly more conservative when Elizabeth Vargas is the anchor.
