*THIS* is why I adore Launchcast...
I'm now hearing for the FIRST time a Van Morrison version of "I Wanna Go Home".

Why wasn't I aware of this version?

2. Launchcast
is the greatest thing since the polio vaccine.

It's Yahoo's internet radio. For 35 bucks a year, you get the most amazing customizable music system. They have well over a hundred "stations" you can listen to, and you can design your own station by rating every song, artist, album or genre. The more you rate, the more customized your station is.

You can skip songs you don't like, you can watch music videos, and no advertisements.

4. to be honest
the videos are really crappy quality.

but the music part is awesome. You need LaunchCast Plus to get all the cool features.

8. I have the LaunchCast Plus
But I've only used it for rating songs so far.

LaunchCast gets better the more you listen to it. My husband and I have discovered bands that I don't think we would have otherwise.

5. You work for them, don't you?
}(

Seriously, what does your subbie cost you a month? I subscribe to Audiogalaxy/Rhapsody, can choose my own unlimited music streams by artist, song, album, genre, or radio station; and can burn tunes at $0.49 per song, if I want to keep a song I dig forever and ever.

Should I fight, or switch?

7. LOL..
I wish I worked for them. It's seriously the best software I've ever used.

The Plus package is 35 bucks a year. You don't get songs on demand, but you can customize it so much you get almost all good stuff. And if a bad song comes on, you can skip it.

9. Do you ever find yourself listening to traditional radio
and thinking "I gotta skip that song" before you remember you're not listening to LaunchCast?

10. I do something similar with radio now that I've gotten used to TiVo
If I don't hear something properly, there's always a split second that I think I can rewind it.

14. I do that, too.
I don't know how my kids are going to stand it the first time they go to the movies. They've never watched anything where you couldn't pause or rewind it.

its a NJ college radio station thats quite a cult. All sorts of eclectic archived programs..... rare blues, international, garage rock, Arab music, whatever. you name it....

And of course there's always Little Stevie's underground garage.
