but I think women have a history of being seen that way that predates the more recent events.. ( well if you exclude slavery and the Feudal system ) oh, well, guess I'm on the wrong turf here.

It is just that women have tended to have a different standard applied to them than guys throughout history at least in terms of visual beauty ( generally). If you look at the tone of some of the "she's so hot" posts, there seems to be a different perspective. Although I admit that there are those same posts about guys, but not nearly as many of them.

and generally, I don't get totally offended by them, but I do like to yank you guys chains about it a bit, in my devil's advocate sort of way...

...when he was living in NYC, a good friend of his had lots of parties that many journalists would attend and he said that the coy, little-girl thing is her usual way, it seems.
