Did that dumbass really say this???????
Bush also said high taxes on the rich are a failed strategy because "the really rich people figure out how to dodge taxes anyway."

19. * thinks that we support him judging from the flyers we keep getting
I don't know how many pieces of his campaign literature had come to our house.

Yuck.

I grew up poorer than poor. My dad always voted repub, though. Always confused the hell out of me.

4. Yes, he really said it.
Between that and "Keep those motherfuckers away from me", "...the terrorists never stop thinking of ways to harm our country and our people and neither do we" Bush seems to be distilling himself to his very essence these days.

7. Yep
So I suppose we should raise the marginal rates for those making over a million a year to 90% since the rich will dodge them anyway.

8. So it's government policy to reward cheating, then?
Instead of enforcing the law, if someone cheats, the law should be changed to make it legal? Does this work for bank robbery as well? If I rob ten or twenty banks, will Bush make it legal for me to do so because I could not be caught?

What about Osama bin Laden? Should we just give up looking for him because he always finds a way to slip through our fingers?

12. We shouldn't jail people for murder either.
After all, murderers will just murder anyway.

If murder was legalized, then crime would drop dramatically, because murder wouldn't be a crime anymore.

13. Michael Parenti....
AMERICA BESIEGED
... we are ... a nation besieged, not from without but from within, subverted not from below but from above. The moneyed class exercises a near monopoly influence over our political life, over the economy, the state, and the media.
... stop blaming the powerless and the poor and , in that good old American phrase, start " following the money." Let's keep our eye on who has too much of the real power in this country. That is the first and most important step toward lifting the siege and bringing democracy back to life.

Millions of people use drugs, despite the fact that there are laws against it. Most of them are never charged or convicted because we lack the law enforcement personnel, the money, or the time to track them all down. So, by Bush's own rationale. . . did he just advocate legalizing drugs?

studies have shown that most drivers drive at least 10 mph over the speed limit. Makes sense to me.
