My Cat looks hungry
I have 4 kids (2 mine, 2 babysitting) in the house right now and I should really pack them up and go to the store and buy some food. She wont stop looking at me like, "Hey dickhead, get off the computer and feed me.

Or I could give her a can of tuna, hey DU cat people is it OK to give cats canned tuna?

P.S she eat a can of cat food at midnight last night, so i am not starving her!!!

1. We give Jasper tuna when he's been a good boy
I've fed my cats tuna over the years. Only the water packed stuff, though. The other stuff is too oily.

The only problem is that it makes their little cat breath smell like tuna. Oh, and when they clean themselves, they smell fishy. Other than that, I haven't seen any harm from it.

2. No human tuna
Somewhere I've read that human tuna is NOT safe for cats.

I don't recall the specifics, though.

for years with out ANY side effects.
If I need to make amends for going away on a trip, its an IOU.
Works every time.
Give them cream too.

occasionally. can cause problems if fed constantly, i don't think it has enough taurine content.

freshen the water bowl, tuna will make her thirsty!

6. A steady diet of tuna
depletes the cat's supply of vitamin E, which can cause the usual problems. A little treat once in a while probably won't hurt a cat.

8. Mine will not eat white tuna only the darker one.
And only once in a while. The oil is helpful.

9. I wish I could open a can of tuna,
without 4 of my 5 cats immediately hanging around at my feet. This is due to the fact that my husband always gives these guys tuna. They love it. :hippie:

10. Geez. Give your cat dry food only
If you feed your cat anything else, they just turn up their noses until you guess what they want. I have three cats, I leave a pile of Science Diet out all the time, they don't beg or jump on counters and best of all, they have no idea what they are missing because I never gave it to them.

13. we only give our cat dry food
You're right, she doesn't eat people food. But if she has her way, she *will* sniff people food and lick it and ruin it for everyone else.

16. Know what you mean.
One of the few times a cat was bad: I walk into the kitchen and the cat is licking the tops of cookies piled on a plate. Just licking the top. So my first thought is: how long has THIS being going on? How many plates of cat licked cookies have we eaten? Threw the cookies out, kept the cat.

14. Tuna is a treat.
Not a regular meal. Don't get her hooked, as it may cause vitamin deficiencies. 3 oz. good-quality canned food in am, 3 oz. in pm, plenty of fresh water. Once in a while give her tuna or chicken. Don't let her guilt you into anything more. (Trust me - my older cat once weighed 23 lb! I got strict with him and now he is a svelte 17.5 lb.)
