and about a gazillion times as an adult... I was a Pamina when I was young, Countess Almaviva, Fiordiligi, Vitellia, Donna Anna, Cio Cio San (though a bit TALL for that one)... Mimi, etc. etc. etc. (those are some that I performed, though I would have loved to do the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier) If I hadn't quit at the ripe old age of 35, I would have gone on to Wagnerian roles eventually.

Was difficult trying to get by with a four or five gigs a year, and starve the rest of the time. If I hadn't been a starving artist for so many years, I coulda been rolling in dough by now. I still wouldn't have traded those years for anything.
