I just witnessed a disgusting example of RW hatred!
Edited on Wed Aug-11-04 04:11 PM by Walt Whitman
In a parking lot near my apartment, I just saw a car stop near the car belonging to someone I know. She's an employee of one of the business located near the parking lot. It became obvious, from the way they stopped and the fervent glances, that they were up to no good. I ran outside and watched them speed away. Walked over there, and found that they had slapped a big Bush/Cheney sticker over a John Kerry for President sticker.

WTF is wrong with these people!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

7. I wish they were juveniles!
That's explainable. The one I got the best look at was a grown man! Mid-30's at least!

5. I think it's serious.
How do you think they'd react if I put a pro-choice sticker over their "Abortion stops a beating heart" sticker? I think they'd have me arrested. It would make the papers.

2. That'll show um.
It would be funny if they weren't so sad.

3. Simple, they're "hatriots"
Did you get a license number? Try doing a Google search on it.

6. They're stupid and ignorant.
And frightened. Isn't that why they vote for Bush?

12. Of course it is -
I saw a great bumper sticker the other day, on my way in to work: "Vote Republican, it's easier than thinking". Fits jerk-offs like that to a tee.

15. The Republican answer to that:
Vote Democratic. It's easier than working. :eyes:

9. Hey, it's okay. Our people do the same thing.
Tit for tat.

/sarcasm

I don't know what's wrong with the folks on either side who pull this shit, but it is childish.

10. BTW, I don't think this is an example of RW hatred.
I think it's an example -- again, from both sides -- of some folks' inability to brook dissent. And, of course, it's an example of childishness.

11. I'm sorry, I disagree.
If someone put one of those stupid 700 club stickers (the man in the pants plus the woman in the dress equals marriage) on your car, you wouldn't consider it hatred?

A prank would be signing a known liberal friend up for the Bush mailing list. This was fucking with private property to make it reflect something abhorrent and evil.

To quote Malloy, "Have I mentioned yet today how much I HATE THESE PEOPLE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" :nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke:

14. The two scenarios are not analogous.
Edited on Wed Aug-11-04 08:19 PM by Bertha Venation
Yes. That, I would consider hatred, especially since the car's obviously driven by a lesbian.

But in this highly-polarized campaign election atmosphere -- with nearly half the populace terrified that their idiocy will be shown by a Kerry landslide -- I don't consider covering one party's bumper sticker with the other party's bumper sticker an act of hatred. I consider it the act of an insecure non-thinker.

Yes. You have mentioned that you hate people. I'll never forget it.

16. I say you just...
...drop into where she works with the peeled-off sticker in your hand, and say "Hey, you dropped this".

See if she does it again... I doubt it.
