Ever use DU-speak with a co-worker?
And then get a funny look to go with a "huh?"

I rarely talk politics at work, but in the lunch room I was eating with a colleague whom I already knew was anti-Bush by the stickers on her car, and so when I referred to him as 'Chimpy' when mocking a picture of him in the newspaper, I got a blank look and the "huh?". :-) The explanation was easy, but I am not used to having explain it at all, lol.

I can imagine that if I said 'Pickles', I'd really get a strange stare (not that I am not used to that).

1. Maybe when I finally get that job.
In the meantime, I watched a Sesame Street today with dancing yaks! :bounce:

2. WOOHOO!!!
I swear I have started a yak-craze. I knew this a few weeks ago when Dave Barry used yaks in his column. :D

3. Not exactly DU, but indirectly from here:
I have several people repeating "Cheap Labor Conservatives" lately!

4. I do use the name Pickles, and I usually only have to explain it one time.
The last time I had to explain it, I simply asked "Could YOU sleep with shrub EVERY night and NOT be picked on SOMETHING?"

Most of the time they agree with me that she's GOT to be stoked to the gills on some kind of drugs to ever have "marital relations" with her husband.

5. I use freeper and fundie all the time...
with my "outside" friends and family and nobody knows what the hell I am talking about, and I just don't have the strength to explain.

6. I've Used Bartcop Phrases
Like, I've given someone a "Nancy Grace Guarantee" and I'm sure they have no idea what I'm talking about.

And Maureen Dowd has been in the news a lot lately, and every time I hear her name or see her on TV I remark, "Maureen Dowd -- she hates everybody. This time it's __________."

7. I speak of "Tweety" a lot and have to explain its origin and
who I'm talking about. But not with co-workers, because I don't have any.
