The curious phenominon of Taco Bell and Dunkin Donuts
There are two places you will never have to wait in line: Dunkin Donuts and Taco Bell. Untill midnight, that is. After midnight, they fill up, packed to the gills until about 3 a.m.. No other place in town gets this sort of business.
5. Yeah, but most of the doughnuts I've seen at DD at night look
like they've probably been sitting there all day. I'm not even sure if each store has its own bakery or if they ship them to some of the stores from their nearby places.
I go to Dunkin Donuts all of the time...practically every day. On weekday evenings (usually around 10:15) there are usually only 1 or 2 people in line in front of me but on weekend mornings there can be more than 10 people waiting for their coffee, donuts and bagels.
I especially hate the DD I go to on Sunday nights between jobs. It is a big one with good business yet they insist on having only one employee on duty so there's always a line and a wait. Once I went in and six people (all one group) were ahead of me with one poor woman waiting on the counter and the drive-thru. She was assisting the drive-thru customer and the idjits waiting at the counter were being really obnoxious, bantering back and forth about "gee I wonder if anybody is going to help US" and stuff like that. I wanted to ask them if they were complete asses or just too stupid to see that the woman was alone and doing the best she could. Finally (to my relief as I was on a time limit) they left without getting anything.
I also go to Taco Bell with my friend on Fridays for lunch sometimes and there is often a line of at least four or five people. At other times when I've gone to another one for dinner it has also been similar.
