Who was that group just on Letterman?
Damn, I thought I was hearing a new Beatles tune for a minute.

1. Haven't seen it here yet
but Wilco is scheduled to be on. And yeah, they do have a Beatley sound.

Their new album is really good.

check out the two mermaid avenue cds they did with billy bragg, where they set long-lost, unused woody guthrie lyrics to music

and their film 'i'm trying to break your heart" is probably the best rock and roll documentary since dylan's "don't look back'

6. 'Summer Teeth' is a great introduction to the band, though
That was the first work of theirs I really loved.

'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot' also lives up to ALL the hype.

7. What do you think of "Loose Fur"?
I love the live stuff they did, although the album feels a little stilted in parts. But Yankee hotel Foxtrot is a very good listen indeed.

What else do you like in that vein? Jim O'Rourke? Fennezs? Farmer's Manual? GYBE!? Manitoba?
