Anyone watch the Perseids last night?
Went outside around 1, stayed out until 3. No moon, probably a dozen or so every half hour. Good show, long streaks of shooting stars. Plus, happy to report I didn't have to watch alone. :)

1. I did. Not for long though because of a test today....
For those who missed it, remember that last night was just the peak. The shower should last a couple of days before and after.

3. No, my winter jacket is still packed away
Had low temps in the 40's last night - in f-ing August. Predicting frost next two nights about 30 miles north of me.

But even if the temp had cooperated, the clouds didn't. Perhaps next year.

4. me and mine did!
Not too late. After Jon Stewart we gor lawn chair and tarp and lay out on the wet grass in a field.

The kids were unruly but we all got to see a few and a few really great ones.

The last cosmic events have all pretty much been rained or clouded out - so we were pretty happy. Better planniung next time though. Food, comfier lay out, etc..

Good family bonding experience.
