I won my FMLA complaint against my employer!
HA! My employer had written my up for days that I took off to be with my husband during surgery. I was told that if I missed one more day, I'd be FIRED!

Well, I called the Department of Labor, by golly. They launched an investigation and found that I should have been offerred FMLA for those days - which I had told the HR Manager who apparently doesn't know her job!

I am so happy! I've been worried that I was going to be fired if I missed one more day. I am the sole supporter of my family (Mr. Arnheim is disabled.) and I just can't lose my job. Regardless of what * says, there just aren't that many IT jobs out there.

Whoooo hoooo!!!! Hooray!!!!

If you EVER suspect that you are entitled to FMLA, you should request it. If your employer turns you down, you can appeal to the DofL.

3. Thanks!
It's been hard, you know? Having to worry every single day that I might have to be out again was hanging over me like a sword.

I am so relieved.

5. I'm thinking of starting a "knowledge transfer"
to all of the people here, explaining their rights under FMLA.

The HR Manager who refused FMLA is over many other HR Managers. She should know her own job, dammit!!!
