I'm not too worried about it, to tell the truth. I've lived in Florida for over 20 years, this is just part of the package deal...sweltering heat, obnoxious tourists, the elderly crashing thier land yachts into anything and everything, and 5 or 6 giant whirling clouds of rainy death a year. No biggie ;)

so far so good, but if Charley makes projected landfall, the rain and the wind will be hellacious.

The worst of it should be passing right over my head (about 30 miles east of Tampa) sometime around 8pm. I've been thru a few. Had the eye pass over me on two hurricanes. I have made preparations and now all I can do is hope for the best. I pass on my best of luck to those others elsewhere in its path.
