Poll question: What's your favorite Summer Olympic sport?
OK, there's too many to list, so I'm just going to use the perennial favorites in the poll. You can pipe in with your favorite below if it's not listed.

Next question, do you plan to watch any of the coverage? Which portions? Do you like just the actual events or all of the touchy-feely profiles?

Are there any sports that should or should not be in the lineup?

Volleyball rules!

EDIT: Probably should be polite and try to answer your questions. :-)

I used to watch tons of Olympic coverage. Until 2000 when I watched nothing at all. Don't know what I'll do this year. Probably will watch a little bit, but not very much.

I definitely prefer the events, but I don't mind the profiles now and then.

How about yourself?

8. Um, track and field is one sport, known elsewhere as "athletics"
this explains why Carl Lewis, Marion Jones and others have competed in both track (100m sprint) and field (long jump) events.

9. Sorry I didn't divide them correctly
I was overwhelmed by the number of choices and how to put them in 10 spaces. Swimming and diving are both grouped under aquatics. I just tried to guess how people would divide them in their heads, not officially.

So, what are your favorites?

12. Judo, Tae Kwan Do, Fencing
of course, none of these are ever broadcast.

I also love olympic soccer, but they tend to show at least one or two of the games.

14. Water Polo!
Actually, I like the track and field events, soccer, and basketball. I used to like gymnastics when I was little but now I find it kind of disturbing for some reason.

I think the addition of synchronized diving to the lineup is a little weird, but hey, I guess it's like any sport in that its difficult and that not everyone can do it.
