Majority of people are OK with homosexuality
No it's true.
As long as 2 good looking females are going at it.

They are sexists not anti-homosexuals.

I confront these prejudices head on and you should see the looks I get when they realize just how hypocritical they are.

1. I agree
Girl-on-girl action is generally much more accepted than guy-on-guy action, at which thought people tend to go (or at least, most guys I've talked to about it) 'ieww'. Girl w/girl, though, 'damn, that's hot'. Gotta love the double standard. Seems to be true on swinger websites, too, loads of couples where the woman is bi or bicurious, and the guy is straight...

2. Not quite

In my opinion, girl on girl action is more accepted by guys than guy-on-guy, and guy on guy action is more accepted by girls than girl-on-girl is by them.

It's Playboy vs Playgirl.

It says a lot about DU that we can discuss an issue like this in this way. If freepers were talking about this in this way then RimJob would lock the thread in question so fast.

4. I disagree..
I think girl-on-girl is much more widely accepted by BOTH sexes than guy-on-guy. I've never been friends with a woman who had any strong objection to lesbian porn, but I've known plenty of men who can't imagine watching gay-male porn.

Women just don't feel as threated by homosexuality as men do.

5. I don't like watching lesbians
Edited on Fri Aug-13-04 12:10 AM by Bogus W Potus
I'm actually more okay with watching gay males because back when I was dating, lesbian women were my competition, not gay men. When more men were gay, more straight women were available for dating.

And I wasn't aware we were talking about porn. I thought we were just talking about a simple kiss or a hug or just a bit of affection. Most people I think are grossed out by porn, heterosexual and homosexual alike.

So I think most straight men are happy that there are gay men.

Unless of course you think it's a zero sum world where the more gay men there are, the more lesbian women there are also, in which case it doesn't really matter.

I'm not even sure if what I said above made sense, so excuse me if it didn't. I'm running on about 4 hours sleep over the last two days.

8. I'm not sure whether
to laugh hysterically or back away slowly.

You really feel that lesbians are the "competition" for the women you want? And you really think most straight men are "happy" that gay men exist? Because it cuts down on the competition?

There was quite a funny skit on the Daily Show a few weeks ago where a crazed christian from Florida was blaming lesbians for using "intenuendo" to seduce the women that were rightfully his.

So tell me... when you're interviewed by the Daily Show, do you KNOW it's a put-on?

10. They were competition.

Not anymore, because I'm married. But I don't believe that sexual orientation is a set thing. I don't think that anyone is completely straight or completely gay. I've been attracted to men before and I'm sure my wife has been attracted to women before. That's just natural. I'm sure that you sometime in your life were attracted to women too. Back my crazy college years, lesbian women were indeed competing with me for women - and I won. :)

I think McGreevey is proof of this. He was able to love his wife and have sex with her to create his two children while still being a gay man. If you can explain away this one I'd be amazed. I think it supports my claim that you can't be 100% gay or 100% straight. Most people probably fall on the extremes at maybe the 90% lines but there are a few around the middle.

12. But I can't get an erection watching gay porn.
Edited on Fri Aug-13-04 12:25 AM by Bogus W Potus
Can you get one watching straight porn(softcore, just a woman with no man)? I would imagine that McGreevey could, because he's probably bisexual, and not gay. I think that most of the men who have had relationships with other men while being married were bisexual also.

Sorry to be so blunt, but is porn not stimulation?

Btw, this thread will probably get locked as a sex thread, so if it does, and you want to continue this debate/discussion, feel free to pm me.

Thanks Dookus.

13. sure I can
and have done so on many occasions.

Of course, straight porn involves a hot, hard man.

If you had any idea how many times a wedding ring has touched my penis, you'd probably plotz.

3. I don't understand why people care
ABout the sex life of another. But I think it has to do with the common group needing an enemy.

9. Hey!
I am NOT a gay homosexual! I'm a queer gay pillow-biting cock-sucking nancy-boy light-in-the-loafers limp-wristed homosexual with unnatural tendencies.

We could have a thoughtful discussion about this topic, but it has to be handled more delicately from the get go.
