7. George Will's article yesterday drawing comparisons between

the bombing of Coventry in WWII and the war on terror was a pile of hooey. There was no way the British could have acted preemptively to stop the raid. They were at a 3 to 1 disadvantage in aircraft, and the Luftwaffe had dispursed their bombers widely across the French countryside. Had the RAF attacked, they would have been greatly over-extended and would have suffered grievous losses.

In addition, contrary to Will's assertions, there had already been evacuations of Coventry, and every other English city. Young children, 2 million of them, had aready been moved to foster homes in the countryside.

Yet again, the conservatives misjudge history. Just a note guys, being a monday-morning quarterback is supposed to be *easy*.
