anyone seen Alien vs. Predator?

well my friend who did said it was hands down the worst movie he had ever seen, in fact it was so bad that the theater was noticably far more empty at the end than it was at the beggining. and he also said to not pay a dime to see it, even for free it's not worth the time of your life it wastes. I wonder if it's really that bad.

No I will be going to see it for the ALIENS, i tell you what. I've been a huge fan of the movies forever and obsessed with aliens and the creator of their look (artist HR GIGER) and while I know the movie will indeed suck ass, nevertheless I have to go see it.

2. Oh God no

Don't tell me they bastardized the Alien series even further! I loved Aliens, and felt a bit disappointed at seeing Alien 3. Alien Resurrection should NEVER have been made, I cringed to see Sigorney Weaver in such a horrid role. I also loved Predator, and felt Predator 2 was a pretty solid sequel with Danny Glover in it. I had high hopes for this one, since I've read a few of the graphic novels of AvP published in the past 5 yrs, and they were fairly good.

Is it true that it's set on modern-day Earth instead of several hundred years in the future? Why the hell would they do that? Part of the beauty of the Alien saga was the futuristic guns and toys (thats why I think Aliens was the best of the series, and why Alien 3 disappointed me a bit).

What a let-down to hear. Thanks for saving me some money though, guess I'll wait till it's at the dollar theater in a couple months.

The film was indeed a train wreck, but it did present us with several complex characters, and lots of atmosphere.

Trust me, Alien 3 will look like a masterpiece when AvP is released.

If you'll remember, they showed a Alien skull in the second Predator film, and they've been doing "Aliens vs Predator" stories for the last decade. It's not a new thing. The idea has been around for at least 10-12 years. You can't really call it a further bastardization, as they've been telling stories about Aliens vs Predators for a decade plus.

5. Worse than Battlefield Earth or Charlie's Angels 2?

I will reserve judgement until I read more reviews or see it in person.

The first two Alien films and both Predator films are solid. Alien3 is under-rated. Alien 4 is a travesty.

that Aliens and Predator 2 and Terminator 2 are the only three sequals who has surpassed their predecessor. Oh, ok and maybe also The Godfather II.

they didn't preview it to critics which is always a sure sign that the movie bites. the director is paul w.s. anderson (NOT the guy who directed "boogie nights") and he is one of the worst hacks out there.

unfortunately this film probably squanders the talent of the olivier of B-Movies: Lance Henricksen
