Vowels make you sexier
Cunning Linguist Amy Perfors of MIT posted photos of men and women on the "hot or not" website, that let's viewers rate pics according to attractiveness. When she posted the same pictures with different names, she found that the attractivenesss scores went up and down depending on the vowels, New Scientist magazine reports.

Men with front vowels in their names, as in Matt-were considered sexier that men with back vowel sounds, as in Paul.
