Scenario:
They ask you for your support.

Try to engage them in the issues. Ask them why they support Bush. THey give you an answer. You say good point, but... Do this for a while. Then you get back to the original question. Repeat the question to them for confirmation.

Now you channel Seinfeld:

You: I need to think about it. Why don't you give me your home phone number and I will call you later about it.

Caller: I can't do that sir.

You: Oh, so you don't want me calling you at home.

Caller: No sir.

You: Now you know how I feel.

Then hang up.

I guess you could cut the fat out and just go with the last part too.

I used to love it when Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons used to call at my place. I would get them thinking really hard about evolution. Unfortunately the fun didn't last long, since they terminated the discussion and then I would not be bothered for a long time (like years).
