Those TV Ads Offering Free Samples of Fatigue Medicine
Does anyone know the name of the medicine? I'd like to try it but can't for the life remember what it was called. The ads are pretty well filmed, like perscription ads, but since they offer a free sample it must be over-the-counter.

Also, does anyone have experience with this or other substances to combat fatigue? Do any of them work?

1. I looked this stuff up
Edited on Fri Aug-13-04 11:10 AM by DBoon
Basically a load of vitamins and some Ginseng.

Go to a health food store and get this stuff yourself. You will save a lot of money.

On Edit: To combat fatigue, caffeine actually works very well. It operates on the neurochemical that makes us aware of being tired. Of course it will only work for so long, but given its effectiveness and relative harmlessness (compared to other drugs), I'd go with it.

4. What was the Name of the Thing You Looked Up?
I just want to make sure it's the same thing I saw. I know what you mean -- there are a lot of things being marketed that are just combinations of everday stuff. I had the feeling this was different and wanted to research it.

12. (I forgot...)
My wife pointed it out to me in a TV ad, so I did a search. Little blue tablets. Can't recall the name for the life of me.

If you have something in mind, you could use google to look it up by name. You'll get a bunch of sites trying to peddle the stuff, try adding words like "active ingredient" to your search to narrow it down.

13. Thanks, I Just Can't Recall the Name
I've seen a number of these ads lately, and they're the only TV ads like them I've seen. The active ingredient is exactly what I was looking for.

I was just hoping a DUer would have seen the same ad and remembered the name.

3. LOL -- No, I Haven't Tried Meth
although an old girlfriend did give me a bottle of ephedra once. It certainly worked -- I was buzzing around first thing in the morning. But after a few days I started to dizzy and disoriented at odds times. Never went back to the stuff.

5. Do Not Order - Check Out All The Complaints
regarding : Berkley Pharmacuticals, the Ohio Attorney General has more complaints against this company vs all others.

It's just some herbs, vitamins - my advise to you, get on a vitamin regime that includes extra B12, B6, A, L-Carnitine, C - Buy respected brands and take them everyday, otherwise they don't work.

Those products are so expesive and for the same amount of money, you could get decent products - One pill per day just doesn't cut it when fighting fatigue - you may have Chronic Fatigue Syndnrome. Cut out sugar too!

Good link for vitamins/herbs/fatigue:

8. P,.S. - Dealing w/ Berkley Pharmacuticals
is difficult in cases where you want money back - example: they say only after you've order 12 month, will you they refund you. A letter to Ohio AG will take care of that real quick.

They will automatically send you product and charge your credit card. A real hassle when you consider the alternative of buying these vitamins yourself and returning them if they don't agree with you with out having to write letters to your credit card company and Ohio AG.

Their ads are slick, I'll give them that!

10. Thanks for the Warning
I will definitely avoid Berkeley or any overpriced stuff you can find at any health food store. I had the impression this was something different, which is why I wanted to check it.
