1. WhEEEEEEE!

Kiteboarder Ian Johnstone takes advantage of the high winds provided by Hurricane Charley as the storm's leading edge nears Fort Myers, Florida August 13, 2004. Hurricane Charley strengthened dramatically as it neared Florida's west coast on Friday with powerful 145 mph (233 kph) winds that sent tens of thousands of people scrambling to higher ground. Charley grew to a Category 4 hurricane capable of extensive damage to homes and buildings, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (news - web sites) said. It threatened to whip up a 14-foot (4.3m) storm surge that could flood low-lying areas around Tampa Bay and coastal communities to the south. REUTERS/Marc Serota

4. Holy shit!
That storm's going to hit the Eastern Suburbs of Montreal in a few days.

That's pretty close to me.

I'm about 90 miles from the edge and will probably feel it big time.

8. It'll be a tropical depression by the time it hits me in NJ
By then it won't be much more than a bad rainstorm.

6. My windows are all boarded up
My emergency generator is ready, plenty of food and water on hand. Just have to wait it out now. Looks like it's landing just a few miles south of me. The winds are mild right now.

7. Yep, he's going to drop in on the Marley Festival in Wilmington DE tomorro
we'll be in the lawn grunging along in the mudpits of Tubman-Garrett Park. It's a good concert this year - four of Bob Marley's sons will be playing there!
