This is my 1000th post!!!!! Veteran DU'ers, please post your advice.

Where do I go from here? I still feel like a newbie.

It took me longer to get here than I suspect it does for many DU'ers. I lurk more than I post, and I definitely don't start many threads, I usually respond.

What should I do to get the most out of my DU experience from here on out?

8. Here's some advice:

Buy low. Sell high.
Don't talk with your mouth full.
Avoid friends who want to fix you up with someone who has a "wonderful personality".

And don't run with scissors.

My take:

I don't play in the stock market at all.

I don't talk with my mouth full (it's gross and you could choke).

I'm married, so no one's setting me up with anyone.

The only time I'd run with scissors is if I intended to use them as a weapon.

My advice-Post as much as you could.

And get to know as many DUers as possible.

When you see someone post that you don't know-Just ask them a simple question like:


Have many siblings do you have?
