2. F*cktards
Myself, I don't care for people that are goths simply to show off that they're goths. Something tells me this group is full of them. Likely Greek-system wannabes...

7. "The world is a bleak place filled with suffering and death"
From the FAQ page:

How does a Goth outlook fit with conservative foreign policies?

The world is a bleak place filled with suffering and death. A conservative foreign policy spokesman will believe this as ardently as the nearest Goth. Next?

9. not only right wing but non americans too
· Can Goths truly ever get along with the likes of the religious right?

I refer the honourable questioner to the various Christian Goth sites.

I know thats how the British, Canadians, spell honorable.

In their music section they have two forums.

One is called "The Cure"

One is called "Everyone Else"

Now I know most non-Goths associate the Cure with Goths, and in the 80s, sure...

But most hardcore goths, while certainly they pay respect to the Cure, consider the Cure "soft Goth", or "Gothic training wheels."

Hell, some of the Goths I was friends with even considered Bauhaus to be Goth-Light. At least that is how it was in Southern Cali Gothland in the late 80s, early 90s. Of course L.A. Goths are pretentious, arrogant pricks like any L.A. clique...

26. Oh, now you *don't* like pretentious, arrogant cliques?
;)

This is typical of the right...you can be sure that if you dig deep enough, you'll find this site is run or financed by a mainstream RW group. Or maybe even a hate group.

It's common practice to attempt to co-op the disenfranchised. Hitler's SA did it, the National Front did it to the apolitical Skinhead movement in 60s Britain, and so forth.

"Goths", even poseur goths, are disenfranchised, by nature (or at least they believe they are). They like to be contrary.

That's why I like seeing sites like this sprin up; they are usually dismal failures, and they suggest that the right is beginning to feel marginalised, and grasping for supporters anywhere they can.

19. uhhhhh.... conservative goths?
At what point, when applying the Cleopatra-style eyeliner with full-on Egyptian ankh embellishment, do you turn to your brother and/or sister of darkness and say, "Ya know - I just ain't buying Kerry's Vietnam war record. Screw him. Bush/Cheney 2004, my sweet sister of death."

20. Okay, I ventured in to lurk--these lyrics are so profound:
Let the Wind Erase Me

Attenuate the light of day
So I can see the lines and details
And not the hazy, plastic blur
That floods my eyes till I can't see

Let the wind erase me
Like the memory of a kiss
Let these waters take me
Away from all of this

I long for anonymity
To wipe the features from my face
One single moment of escape
Then I can wake myself again

I need a respite from this noise
The distant roar of static oceans
Give me a haven from this bedlam
And let my senses rust away

Another gem--note the link:

I hate to admit it in this day and age, but I'm still buying Heinz ketchup. Perhaps I should look into finding a new brand to drench my burgers with and this one looks promising:
