You know, you're usually parked in the driveway, and someone else in your household is parked up near, or in the garage.....

And when they leave for work, they don't expect your car to be sitting in the driveway (cause you usually leave before they do) and they back out without looking.......and they hit your car.

Has this ever happened to you?

4. Well. The Acura, is not OK.

I need a new left taillight assembly. And I need a new rear panel piece. The part that is between the bumper and the tailgate.

The good news is....the damage is not too bad. The bumper has a bit of a scratch in it, but what the hell, it's a bumper. My son and I parked her in the garage and started taking her apart. There were a few nagging problems (right headlight assembly has a minor crack, front passenger side speaker inop, etc) so we decided to go ahead and tackle it all at once.

When we're finished, I'll have a new CD player and speakers. Right now, the radio is the only thing that works. Also, I'm thinking of replacing both tailights with those carbon-fiber lights with clear lenses. I can get a pair of those for less than 1 stock tailight.

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

9. I've got a system I don't use.
I used all my graduation money to buy a 50 watt Sony CD player and four Alpine speakers. My brother and I made a special trip to the wrecker to pull that fucker out, too. I don't really need them in my truck - or rather, I can't use them because of the different dash size. That breaks my heart.

19. So, um.......
How much????

Perhaps your Integra can live on, through mine.

I have a habit of doing this kind of thing. A few years ago, when my Grandfather had his 40 year old garage torn down, I used some of the wood to fabricate a header in my kitchen area. My Pa's old garage lives on in my new house.

So you see, I've had some experience.

2. Here's what you SHOULD have done.
Marry someone who doesn't have a driver's license.

8. Yeah, I'm having a hard time with that one.
It seems to be a turn off when I ask a woman, "Do you have a driver's license?"

6. Neither of us had a driver's license when we married.
City folk.

We've since moved out of the city and both drive. Neither of us has had a ticket or has hit anyone in 20 years.

But today, the wifey hit my baby.

15. It's funny, because she hit it with her 2003 Tribute.......
Less than 10,000 miles on the odo. Nice luxury version with leather, etc. It's worth at least 5 times as much as my little 93 Integra.

But everyone is lamenting the damage to the Integra, including her.

Integras are special.

Yes, even I too, from way afar, lament the damage. I weep with you.

3. Uhm, no, but...
I've done it. Eeek. I've never had a ticket, only been in two wrecks, a car swerved into my lane and a deer jumped into my lane. But boy do I somehow manage to hit my husband's vehicles. I haven't hit the most recent one, but then I pull away from the curb now. Maybe he's learned to park far, far away from me! Hehe. Sorry about your wreck.

7. I have had that experience....
I backed out into one of my teenage son's friend's car w/my jeep. Totaled this little car...airbag deployed....another time I backed into my son's car in the driveway...and another time the jeep rolled out of the garage...thought it was in park....down the driveway...across the road and into the only tree in my neighbors yard. My driveway has not been good to me.

It sounded a little scary.

But, hiya. Sorry about your car. Car troubles always make me feel panicked.

Damn near stranded without one out here.

13. Nope, never happened to me.....
No driveway!

Sorry about your car.

I took last Monday off and left my car in a parking garage for some time while I went to see "Fahrenheit 911" in downtown Evanston (at long last I saw the movie).

Had a far better day off than you did.

Notwithstanding your car damage, I hope your lovely wife and you will be able to make it on the 5th.

23. We'll be taking her car, no doubt.
Mrs. XNASA gets white-knuckled sitting in the passenger seat of her car, which is twice the size of mine, when being propelled down the either the Dan Ryan or the Kennedy.

She wouldn't be able to make it in my little car. Just don't ask her who's a better driver. LOL!!!!
