Does anyone have a Zen Clock?
I'm thinking about buying one and wanted to know if they're useful for waking you up? I'm not a terribly heavy sleeper, but I don't wake easily. However, noisy, nasty alarms make me nuts and put me in a bad mood for several hours. Right now, I'm using iTunes and Alarm Clock Pro, but that means the computer has to come to bedroom with me.

Thanks,

Pcat

The secret to getting up on time is getting to bed on time. ;)

6. that's lovely, fizi, but your children don't have my body.
Look, if I go to bed at two, I get up at 9 - 7 hours, right? I am fabulous for the day; just the right amount of sleep, good energy.... all that.

If I need to get up at 6 am, theory says, go to bed at 11? WRONG. My body disagrees. 6 am after 7, 8, 9, or 10 hours, is too early. The body and I hate 6 am. I have to go to bed at about 8 pm to be even a marginal person at 6 am. This is NOT okay.

I'm not a morning person. After 16 years of trying - my mother woke me up at 6 or 7 every morning including weekends from the time I was 3 months old - we finally realized it was not working. When I went to college, I scheduled my first classes at 10 am and worked late. It was perfect. I zoomed through college in 3 years with a 3.9 average.

Now, however, I have some days when I have to get up earlier. This is being an adult, much as I hate it.

So please don't preach to me. I've heard it ALL before.

5. I have one and love it.

I got it at a discount on ebay. It's not the triangular shaped one. It's the one that is a box with a hinged lid. I much prefer it to my old alarm. Only thing I don't like is that it is not illuminated, so in order to read the time at night you have to find the button on it and push it....then it lights up for a few seconds before going dark again.

I also have a bird clock in my office which sounds just like real birds.....a very pleasant reminder of the hour. Guests often think I have a bird loose in the house!
