i live in Phoenix and we had a monsoon storm roll thru a couple weeks ago and were without power for about 14 hours

woke us up at 3AM when the house hit 90 degrees and didn't improve

I wet a hand towel and wrap it around my neck, but it may not help in FL since your humidity is so high already

is there a ton of cleanup to do? Did you evacuate?

Not much damage to my immedate area but I went west on 1-4 and all the billboards are gone and I could see areas without electric....


What a mess......


AZ has dry heat.... The humidity is so high in FL in the Summer that even 75 degrees is uncomfortable whereas 75% in the winter is quite pleasant because of the lack of humidity...

My phone is out... I'm glad I have cable internet access...

14. Dry heat or not lol... TRUST me AZ gets HOT

I was there for a month in August years ago and had heard all about the "dry heat" business.

I enjoyed Arizona and there were a lot of very cool aspects to the state (the scenery being one IMO although this was in the late 70's) but stepping outside was like stepping into a freaking blast furnace.

It's not a place where you want to be without AC (dry or not!)

I was in Naples until about three weeks ago. From what I could gather, Naples was pretty much unscathed, but Ft. Myers and Cape Coral took a beating.
