3. You gotta admit, he's a cute little fella
Gee, that doesn't make me a gay lizard-lover, does it? I swear I've never even looked twice at a box turtle.

18. O god, I had forgotten that one
That is just painful to look at, like a Salvador Dali piece. That poor little guy on the bottom looks rather put upon.

I've always had a big soft spot for toads. Used to spend hours as a kid catching them, building up a collection of half a dozen in a couple of coffee cans, then letting them go. It was a strange way of helping to spread their gene pool around, I guess.

Waxing nostalgic, I am. Soon, I'll be singing "Misty-colored memories...of the way we were."

19. lol!
have to admit - never did the frog catching thing (though I lived near a creek). Did catch fireflies - but never had the heart to keep them in the old jar with the holes punched in it...

Quit catching them when I witnessed a neighbor taking the caught fireflies and demonstrating how if you killed the them one could smear the "light" on the sidewalk and that it would "glow" for a few minutes. That just killed the fun of trying to catch fireflies.

Met one today whose owner called him Attila the Pug. How this is relevant to anything, I couldn't tell you.

And in response to latebloomer, yes, it was a prostitute in Full Metal Jacket, who also delivered the immortal lines, "Me ruv yoo rong time," and "Five dolla," and "Too beaucoup! Too beaucoup!" (sp?) among other choice phrases. I've always thought she deserved a Best Supporting Actress award. Well, not really.

If memory serves, she actually pronounced it: me so ho-nay.
