didn't mean to sound like a diva with my thread title... just was hoping to say hi and catch up with the wonderful loungies ... whose collective company has been sorely missed.

4. lol... that is indeed a curse
that seriousness groove within which I get stuck... all seriousness aside ... (til I go peek at LBN and get sucked in all overagain!)

Doing well - very crazy period with work and in the middle of a move... all for the good, I guess, but I miss having DU time!

Cute little toad (on your thread) btw, almost rivals Brood X... almost.

Hope all is well with you...

5. We don't see nearly enough of you
Edited on Sat Aug-14-04 07:15 PM by Hardhead
I want to be as well-spoken and thoughtful as you when I grow up. But then I don't seriously intend to grow up ever.

All is well with me. :)

Brood X? Must google...

Cicadas? (Don't ask me how to say it, I can barely spell it)

Curiouser and curiouser...

6. It was quite a shock
when I looked around and realized I had lost the battle about growing up... it sorta snuck up on me. Believe it or not - I was a bit superficial and nonserious for more than my first 20+ years...

Brood X... Cicadas! Typing from one of the epicenters... still have cicada shell/skeletons in some prime wooded area...

7. well done!
it was the excitement (and LOUDNESS) of the summer in south central Indiana. These little buggers only come out once every 17 years... and each time I am living in one of the few heavily populated areas (last time was in northern virginia/metro dc).

Si(short I) - Kay - duh.

Don't worry you have 17 years to learn how to say it!

17. dang... mental image
cicadas on hind legs... rock instruments... a particularly sauve one dons microscopic tight leather pants, and is attempting G-L-O-R-I-A

Thank Goodness that i have 17 years to wipe that image out of the head...

All moved in to the new house?

I am still finishing things up on the new house - and have moved a few things so that I can stay up there a few nights a week.

:hi:

glad that it brought a smile - and made you think of me (by default associating me with a memory that makes you smile... how cool!) It is great to see you! :toast:

12. Nice to see you emerge!
You really *do* need to have more fun. Speaking of which, we're having a big doing in Chicago on Sunday, Sept. 5. Why not drive up Sunday, only a couple of hours? You could crash at my house and drive back Monday. It's Labor Day. What a better day to NOT labor. :D

16. I wish I could
just are getting my enterprise off the ground... big day on Monday. Have been in rampup/startup for the past two-three months. Don't think I will have a breather (except perhaps to collapse) until Thanksgiving. Buying a house and planning to move in the middle of this madness wasn't exactly a smart move in terms of pacing... but it will sure make for some good stories in the future!

I think by this time next year things will have settled down some... and perhaps even by Spring. Would love to do a trip up to your neck of the woods around that time!
