Silly question; is there any junk food that isn't high in fat, calories,
or even carbs, yet doesn't cost $5 per ounce?

Thx!

2. hard boiled eggs ?
I don't consider them junk but some people do. I'm afraid I love them coated with salt. My partner likes them too. Don't overboil the eggs -- we don't need that green layer around the yolk. Try bringing a batch of eggs to boil in water, let the water boil 1 minute, turn off the water, let the eggs sit in the water 20 minutes -- well, 30 minutes if you want to be sure they're really hard (but you risk some green that way). They keep in the fridge all week to eat as you wish.

No carbs. I think each boiled egg has about 100 calories.

3. Well....
I like shaved ice. The machine cost about $30 but lasts for years. I flavor it with black cherry concentrate from the health food store, and I think it works out to be fairly cheap. I also like to eat frozen blueberries, mixed with reconstituted non-fat powdered milk...makes a nice 'ice cream'.

6. There are some great blue toritilla chips
I think they're just called "Guilt Free". And if you get or make some salsa that's fat free - you're in business. Stir a little fat free sour cream into bottled salsa and it makes a goopy dip if finger licking goopy is what you want.

There's also lots of fat free bean dips to buy or make. Mix a little into bottled salsa for that satisfying goopy dip and use zuccini spears to dip with. Celery is a good substitute for chips, too.

7. It may not be 'junk food', but it is sure quick and yummy -
Those big fruit bowls in the produce section of the grocery store (my kids have forgone traditional junk food for them). They rock. If the store doesn't carry them, get a big bag of cherries, a box of strawberries or raspberries, and/or a container of CHOCOLATE sauce to dip them in!!!

When it comes to the salty junk food, my only advice is Lays Baked chips, or pretzels.
