Andre Rieu
Our local PBS stations are having begathons, so they have some terrific concert shows on.

I'm watching this guy named Andre Rieu, he plays violin in front of an orchestra, and does classical, show tunes, even Glenn Miller!

This past Wednesday they had the Berlin concert, right now is the one he did in Tuscany.

Ever hear of him? He's really good.
His version of "Bolero" in Berlin gave me goosebumps.

1. Oh yes, and the lovely ladies in ball gowns
in his orchestra. LOL!

I like his Strauss concerts most of all. I feel like waltzing when he's on.

2. He reminds me too much of Fabio with a fiddle...
But to each his own... :nopity:

5. Or how about the guy in "The Prince of Tides"...
who played Streisand's snotty violinist husband who was mean to Nick Nolte...

6. Why does Hollywood always
make violinists out to be snotty? For the most part we're really pleasant people. A little other-worldly sometimes; but rarely unkind. :nopity:

3. I have
I saw him on the Clearfield, PA PBS station WPSX 3 while I was visiting State College. I agree that he is talented. He uses the grandest settings sometimes - I saw him in Tuscany. And I like how he gets the young involved in his shows.
