Today, My First Day As A Deputy Voter Registrar, I Have Registered
SIXTEEN voters!!

Count 'em, sixteen! and I'm pretty sure most of 'em were Democrats, being as where I was hanging out to solicit the registrations.

As I said earlier in a different thread, in 2 1/2 hours outside a grocery store in South Austin (mostly Democrat) I got 10 voters.

Later, on my own, I just took my materials with me to the dog park I usually go to...and got six more, all on my own! And most of us using the dog park are apartment residents...and thus, not affluent, more likely to vote Democratic...

I am soooo pleased!!!!

2. Great job - South Austin did well today...
Me and a couple of friends set up a table at a South Austin yard sale and registered 16 also. I don't think Repugs do yard sales.

What a good day for South Austin!

Congratulations! And who says Kerry can't take Texas?

3. Who Says??
Ummm...let's see...the rednecks in West Texas say so...the polls say so...
Hey, I'm still gonna TRY, anyway!
BUT..Texas unfortunately cannot split it's electorals.

Texas is gonna go Bush in spite of our best efforts...realistically, you and I both know this. But Kerry is gonna take Travis County. And we're gonna get some Democrats into state office, and remove the stranglehold on our STATE government that the Repukes currently enjoy!!

Baby steps, friend...baby steps...

It'll take some time, but eventually, we will turn Texas back to it's rightful blue. but not this time out. Best we can do is turn out lots of Democrats and thus throw a bunch of Repukes off the state governemtn...and we may well make Texas closer than they think it will be in November, anyway!
