is that my kids are getting big enough to be good company. i have an 18 year old who is agrophobic. but he loves phc, so he came along. that was great.

God, I love Ravinia!!! Haven't made it for one darned event this season. Did you have lawn or pavillion tickets?

funny, we were gonna take the train, but we didn't catch it. so we drove. got the better of the traffic by going past lake cook to clavey. got a spot close to the stage, even tho it was pretty full when we got there. i love ravinia too, but don't get there often enough. lucked into the ticks. co-worker of the hubby bought them, but couldn't go.

...man, it used to be a cheap date. $5.00 on the lawn. Great for making out. Bigger lawn then too -- now there's gazillions of pavilions selling stuff. I saw the greatest concert I have ever seen there, Paul Butterfield -- played for about 4 hours, it was his biggest band with horns, around 1970?


Also saw the orginal Mothers of Invention, lots of jazz -- Duke Ellington, Count Basie, plus the Chi. Symphony with Ozawa. I guess I am revealing my age .....
