I just got done watching Casablanca on TCM

3. Saw it too ... my 3rd Bogart movie today !

I've been a complete slug here in SC ... Weather sucks .... rainy ... great day to curl up on the couch and watch old movies!

4. Did anyone see "Black Legion" earlier in the day?

Bogart played a worker who gets drawn into a KKK-like group. It had a morality type ending with a judge giving a speech about when someone takes away the rights given in the Constitution it weakens the fabric of the country and how there should never be illegal tribunals and never discriminate against someone because of their religion or ethnic background. The movie was made in 1936, but that speech could have been written based on the events of today. It sounded like it was written by our own Will Pitt!

7. Isn't that an interesting film?

Saw it on TCM about six months ago, and was amazed that much of it was still timely. And Bogie's performance was fascinating!

AFI rated it the #1 romance in the history of the movies.

On my top-10 ever list.

6. I am consumed with jealosy

My cable provider no longer carries TCM and Casablanca ranks in my to all time favorite movie. Never heard of BLACK LEGION but it sounds like it would be worth a hunt for it.

TCM is the best channel on TV. I'd be writing letters to the cable people everyday (or switch to satellite)
