State emergency workers are attempting to coordinate donations from those wanting to help Hurricane Charley victims.
They emphasize that cash is still the most valuable commodity, and that unwanted goods and unneeded or unexpected volunteers could only hinder recovery.
The Governor’s Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service has put together a list of agencies currently serving victims of the storm.
They are:
