Sunday morning, 8:20am PST, Should I go to church today?
Am thinking of visiting St. Edmunds Episcopal in San Marino, CA. Should I go?

1. Maybe the Holy Spirit is prompting you to do so.
:)

2. Heck, yeah
Episcopal is good- some ritual in worship can be very comforting. I visit them sometimes. It helps to get centered. Whatever works!

8. You mean I have to switch parties
I'm not a republican either, but I still believe in God and go to church. I didn't know it was a requirement to be a repuke in order to believe in God.

12. I wasn't aware that was a prerequisite.
Oh yeah, Matthew 14:18- "Ye who enter the kindom of heaven must signeth a GOP loyalty oath, or he be cast into the lib'rul lake of fire." :eyes:

Not everyone who believes in Christ is a Repuke- not by a stretch.

4. I say go for it, if you haven't already!
Sounds good to me - most Episcopal churces are still great to go to these days. They have a beautiful liturgy and you should find great folks there!

I'll go get scrubbed, put on some unwrinkled clothes, and off I go.

Thanks everyone.

7. I know you're already gone
...and I'm glad. The fact you're wondering whether to goes tells me you should go.

What I like about being Episcopalian:
You don't have to check your brain at the door.
The ritual and tradition and sense of history.
The tradition of inclusivity and social justice.

OK, some of that varies from one parish to another, but on the whole I think these things are true.

9. Did you end up at St. Mattress
or perhaps the Bedsprings Baptist Church this morning?

10. Hell yes
You can always light a candle for someone that's in need of some help.

11.  I’ve been to church once in 20 years
and that’s only because they hosted a free crawfish boil after the service.

13. Yes, go....
and say a little prayer, light a little candle for all of us, thanks. Despite the Pope's stand on women and other issues, it freaked me out that when he went to Fatima the other day and knelt down, he started weeping. Maybe the BVM told him something, who knows.
