Have you used "Space Bags"? Do they work?
I'm curious about them, since the ads have been everywhere it seems. How badly wrinkled are the items when you remove them? Can they really shrink a folded blankie up to an inch thick?

I gotta know... my curiosity is piqued and that's dangerous. I don't like to spend money on worthless crap.

1. Yeah, they work well if you get a good seal
I generally don't use them for clothes, but they shrink my thick blankets pretty well.

2. I've used them
I have trouble with consistency. Some bags work perfectly - folded a big comforter into 1 in thick pad, stored it for more than a year and it came out fine.

Others - I guess the seal broke on the ziplock-type opening. Had to reseal them and one came undone again. I may try rubbing a little vaseline on the seal and the vacuum hole.

Overall I think they do what the promise. My problem COULD be user error!

3. I've used them. They suck.
None of mine kept a seal.

4. I used them
to pack for a dive trip. I needed a lot of equipment so I put my clothes and my husbands clothes that did not wrinkle badly in several of them. I used the kind you seal without the vaccuum cleaner, just do it by rolling the bag closed. They worked perfectly and we saved so much room that we needed only one small bag between the two of us plus the equipment bags. It was wonderful.

5. You all have convinced me to try them...
I have a very small house so being able to compress seasonal items like blankies would be great.

Thanks!

6. The ones that you roll work the best! I use them to travel. They save
tons of room in the suitcase!
