One thing I've discovered is that the covered ones are great for rice -- even heat, so you won't end up with burnt rice on the bottom every time (like I used to -- if you're better at rice than I am, disregard).

I have some pieces in the blue. The big round pot is good for making Italian sauce. And they clean up beautifully. If anything gets stuck on, you just let some water soak in it for a while. I really want that oval you got! Have years of fun!!!

I LOVE Le Creuset! I have a large saucepan, a small Dutch oven (it consistently turns out the most perfect rice I've ever made), and an omelet pan so I can finally make omelets that don't resemble a road accident. What nice future in-laws you have!
