I'm not looking forward to football season
I am a lifelong SF 49er fan, but I have lost a lot of interest over the last two years not only in the Niners, but with football in general. I'm not entirely sure why, but I think it's because football has a way of monopolizing all the sports coverage: Sunday with the NFL and Saturday with college. During the week baseball season is interrupted by week long hyping of big football games. The sportswriters have a tendency to try soap opera football games. Football is probably also the most complex of the major sports when it comes to strategy. For those of us who are unable to follow the game closely, it can make football kind of alienating.

1. As a baseball fan....
I know what you mean....this is most exciting time for a baseball fan with all the playoff races going on and interesting story lines. But now with football starting, the sports media forgets about baseball and its all football all the damn time! Even ESPN leads off with exhibition football games over other sports. WTF? Who cares about a football game in August....sheeesh!

I really hate all media...the political media makes my blood pressure go up and the sports media makes me sick of football.....

3. ESPN
ESPN cares because they have to kiss NFL ass to get a piece of the regular season.
