6. Not doing so well with the food today
I bought bacon and eggs this morning, but by the time I got home, I had lost interest in cooking breakfast. I also bought a steak to bbq for dinner. Alas, when dinner time rolled by, I no longer felt like cooking (again).

It was a left-overs kind of day. I have nothing else left over, so I am out of options.

I am in Silicon Valley, and out here the HS kids cannot get jobs at Mc D's unless they speak fluent Spanish.

I'm all for 2nd languages, but, damn.

Any othe Silicon Valley'ers wish to weigh in???

33. Try moving to the Bay Area, or any semi-large populated zone.
If you are REALLY unconvinced IM me - I'll give you the addresses (ie-all of them)

But out here no one cares, because TEENS DON'T WORK........why? 'Cause they're all drivin' BMW's or Porches.

As a mom w/ 2 kids under 10 .... I would LOVE to find a babysitter that charges less than $12 an hour. As is, I have to use friends, or 'day laborers" BECAUSE not a single stinking kid in our area will work for less than $10 an hour..........

OK, I'm fine w/that, but will any work for me???

NO!~!! Why? 1 hour standard pay (ie they show up)(wha-hello) Weekends are time and a half ???> When it comes to labor - certainly - but this is a 15 year old.

I was RIPPED OFF in my youth.....damn..

Bottom line - the kids here are driving BMW's by their 17th B-day.
Why should they work?

My kids will never be allowed to become the neighbors.
