I need lots of support, and good sturdy soles that will save my klutzy self from breaking an ankle. Ideas?

I was surprised to learn that Rockports only go to 11M. Damn.

Thanks.

1. well, Zappos lets you search by size, width, and style too
plus folks write comments about the shoes---whether they run large or small, or if they find them comfy or not. www.zappos.com

good luck!

10. hooray! I like 'em. Free shipping and a-ok prices, and a good
selection, and a 365-days-to-return policy (assuming you don't actually WEAR the shoes during that time).

2. I was going to say try a crossdressers' website but

I doubt they'd have comfy, practical shoes. More likely they'll have 6-inch red stilettos! :D

One of my friends is 6-2. I'll ask her where she finds her shoes.

5. I can't believe anyone could wear heels that high
I occasionally wear lower heels, but my feet scream for days after!

7. my feet hurt if I wear birkenstocks
It doesn't matter what I wear, my feet hurt. Heels = suicide. I just look at a pair of heels and limp.

13. This is the way to go. I used to have severe plantar fasciitis, they were
threatening surgery and tried to jack me up with cortizone, etc; I told em all to fuck off and did the research and now wear shoes from all these brands most of the time.

The wearing of these shoes has enabled me to OCCASIONALLY wear the fantastic, sexy strappy ass sandals I long for... so it's worth it!

3. Have you tried the major brand websites?
And I think that Shoe Carnival carries lots of different sizes. And I wear a lot of guys shoes because they have bigger sizes and more selection. And did you know you can get Guys' nikes in HOT PINK!?
HeHe...Seriously!

9. I don't know about 11s

But I wear WWs. I'm only a size 7, but my foot is almost square. That and a high arch make shoe fitting a problem, lol.

IRL, there are some naturalizers that come in WW. Online, I've bought shoes from Lane Bryant. I'm going to go check out that link in the post above!
