Has anyone here ever bought something because of a popup ad?
I've always thought that popups are pretty inconsiderate and could never understand why annoying people is a good advertising strategy. I was wondering if this bothers you guys as much as me - has a popup ever motivated anyone here to buy anything?

1. Motivates me to NOT buy from them
More than enough annoyances in life without financially supporting more.

5. Same here!
I immediately dislike products that use agressive forms of advertising.

4. A pop-up ad is a strong argument
not to buy the thing. Even if I liked it.

6. And yet they continue.
I'd like to see statistics on how much money is actually MADE by people who buy popup ads.

9. Pops and Spam just kills me
Let me get this straight: You first LIE to me by lying about your email address and how you got my email address, then you want me to provide you with various piece of personal information --- What do you think I am, George Bush?

12. Yes
...and now that I've repaired my credit, refinanced my house at 40-year lows nine times, and figured out how to beat the casino slot machines, I watch my secret hidden camera feed on my free 42" Toshiba flat screen TV all day, while admiring my seven foot long penis and enormous breasts. :silly:

13. Whenever a pop-up ad...
...pops up on my monitor the only part of it I see is the little X box that I click on to delete it. I usually don't even notice what the ad is advertising. I just see the X.
