Since the Farce games are on no other stations seem to be running anything worth watching, and by other stations that means PBS.

Freaking history detectives and Antiques road show reruns
although the Ravens deal looks new.

8. The chess game is what does it
Edited on Mon Aug-16-04 08:00 PM by Jack Rabbit
In the 1999 film, the protagonists go to his place after dancing and make whoppie. In that film, the relationship is about sex.

In the 1968 film, the protagonists play chess at his place and then the camera fades out. In that film, the protagonists are playing mind games with each other.

As I said below, the older film is better.

11. The orginal Olympics were brutal.
Tons of stuff about the modern Olympics were invented out of whole cloth by the NAZIs. A few other minor points,
1. It's like the " elections" almost everyone cheats, judges, constestants, promoters, officials.
2. It's getting like India and their obcession with the Guiness world records. Can't wait to hear about the new multi person speed typing event.
3. Many events are based on totally subjective scoring.
for example when people do a vault two people may get a 9.6 and they did not even do the same thing.
4. They are only held every 4 years, born at the wrong year for your event in your best year ... too bad talk to your parents.
5. They destroyed and desgraced Jim Thorpe when it was discovered he got a ferw dollars playing baseball when he was younger but yet the pro basketball/tennis & hockey and whatever else pro players are now allowed to play and no apologies or restoration of medals for Jim ? !!!

Tons more but will leave some for anyone else that cares to vent a bit.

Suffice it to say the whole deal is so rigged that it's amazing that anyone cares anything about any of it.

10. Steve McQueen is my idol.
We have so much in common: we both are tall and slim, both were Marines, neither of us won an Academy Award. 3 out out 3, it's like we are brothers!

Seriously I love that guy. He was awesome in The Getaway.
