2. I'm usually happy
But I have my down moments. I try to have a positive attitude no matter what I am doing. Life is what you make it in most cases. Sometimes we're dealt a bad hand and even when I'm having a bad day, I know it could be worse so that puts me in perspective.

7. I am almost orgasmic with happiness.
I have been for a couple of years now. I am having a grand time with my first business and doing almost double in sales than what the former owner was doing. My second business is already turning a profit and I have picked up several new accounts.

I enjoy my motorcycles. Enjoy my pets. Adore my grandson. I enjoy with almost demonic glee that I am my ex-wife's lover now that she is married to the man she cheated on me with.

I enjoy my Hummer. Yes, I enjoy that much hated monstrocity of debauchary and excess.

Bush is President, so fucking what. He leaves in January 2005 or January 2009, he is not going to be here forever (though sometimes I wonder).

I have been broke and homeless before so damn it, I am going to enjoy it when it is going good.

20. Nothing wrong with it.
Too many people refuse to be happy. They feel obligated to take on other's misery. I used to be one of them. Got shot in the face, saw my life flash before my eyes and thought, "Shit! That was it?" No more misery for me.

Not anymore.

8. Somewhat...
I'm happy within myself (more so than I've been in years probably), but I'm not so happy within quite a few things in my life (but I'm working on it). :D

19. Most of the time I'm OK.
I've suffered clinical depression, although not nearly as badly as some others I know. Now I'm OK. I'm working on handling my shit better and having a better attitude toward my shit. Face it--we all have shit. It's in how we feel about it.

Although it's not quite as simple as this aphorism might imply, I pretty much go along with Abraham Lincoln in believing most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

28. Mostly happy.
...although I'm the type of person who minds my business for years, and then something that would otherwise be little and minor (a nasty note from a reader about a section I had nothing to do with, a fight over nothing with the SO, that sort of thing -- events that would normally annoy me but not much more) can make me paranoid and send me into a funk for a couple of weeks.

Eh. My dad and sister both are clinically depressed, and my mom's got OCD. I'll take minor paranoia.
