I got a strange letter today. Over the transom, as it were. Ends up it was from a guy who owns 3 acres adjacent to my property (I realize "ownership" is very temporary. I tell that to the "Realtors" and they really get pissed off! I say ownership with any mortgage at all is renting. The "people" own, etc.).
Anyway, his property ("For Sale," for years) won't "PERC" (meet the county requirements for a septic tank and field on the confines of the property). His lot (2-acres) is not a ravine, it is a gorge! He has the unmitigated gall to send me a letter asking that I cede a variance to run his property's septic shit uphill to my lot(s). That way the county will approve of a sale (maybe) of a house that will be built on a steep side of a gorge. Then his shit will go in the close-by Bear Pen Creek, the Rock Creek, and Lake Jocassee.
Naw. Like Daddy says: unless he gets a county commissioner or two by the balls, his land is yours for free.
